Crazy for paisley

The weather has definitely changed now, with some fierce winds and lots of showers.

If you can guarantee anything in life, it is this: if it is going to rain, it will do so between 8.30 and 9.00am, and again between 3.00 and 3.30pm, just as I trudge to school and back.
I could do that walk blindfold.
I was a bit concerned about the puddle situation this morning, but needn't have worried.

Crimplene is fantastic for being quick-drying, my hem wasn't even wet when I got home!

OK so the Flying Squad suede jacket probably wasn't the wisest choice in the rain, but it goes so well...

Twirling is obligatory in this skirt. It's practically the law.

Can't resist showing you my backside, hahahaha!

1970s Co-op crimplene paisley maxi skirt (vintage fair), purple T-shirt (ancient and baggy), White Stuff  linen tie cardigan (charity shop - have you SEEN how much their range is full price?? Would never pay that!), Clarks stack heeled ankle boots (community centre fair), baubles, bangles and beads (charity shops, flea markets or gift).

And finally, these flying ducks have appeared on the gable end wall of a house just up the road. Even in the rain, they always make me smile!

Happy Thursday!

I'm a big paisley fan! That maxi is gorgeous. I only have one crimplene dress and I haven't had the chance to wear it out yet!

You're absolutely right about it raining on the school run. That's the law too. Loving the skirt.

Don't you hate the way rain can scupper your outfit choice plans? I HATE having to spoil outfits with a rain-proof mac (haven't mastered the art of pushing buggy and holding brolly).

Fantastic skirt, made for twirling in, maybe while listening to Kate Bush.
I think all end houses should have paintings on the side, we need cheering up. Love those ducks.

Wow, what a fabulous skirt!
I'm a bit of a paisley nerd at the moment, it's sort of replaced tartan as my perennial choice of autumn print/pattern this year. Hmm, just had an idea paisley and tartan together, wonder if it would work?

Love the color (hee hee get me with my 'merican spelling) palate of this outfit, its very autumnal! That's a word right?

Duckies - LOVE them!

You are such a cool poser!
Isn't crimplene the best? People think I'm mad for loving it's divine drying properties.
Those flying ducks are brilliant, what a fantastic thing to paint on a wall. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I really like this outfit. The skirt is fabulous.

I always search for paisley prints I think I am starting to get a very small collection rather slowly. One of my favorites is a 1970s long sleeve blouse. I will have to add it in a post sometime.

I would be EXSTATIC if those flying ducks were in my neighborhood. Those look the the 1940-50 ducks everyone tries to find for their vintagey homes.

That skirt is fabulous, gorgeous colours. I am such a fan of crimplene, I never understand people who are snobby about it. They have obviously never learned of its marvellous indestructible properties! The ducks are hilarious x

I wish those ducks were on my street, on my wall actually!

Have a great weekend.
